Virginia & D.C. Buyers: The Homebuyer Tax Credit Has Been Extended and Expanded

Extension and Expansion of $8000 Tax Credit for Northern Virginia and D.C. Homebuyers

You've likely heard that the Homebuyer Tax Credit was extended last week.  The previous deadline was November 30th.  Now you have more time to get up to an $8000 tax credit for the purchase of your first home in Virginia or D.C. (or anywhere else for that matter) 

Current Virginia and D.C. homeowners also have the opportunity to get up to $6500 when they move up and purchase their next home.  The income limits have also been expanded.
