Yesterday, I wrote about Northern Virginia's top 12 home sales from January through June 2007, so I thought today I'd follow up with the same information for the District real estate market. D.C.'s Top Dozen Sales: (information provided by MRIS) 1. 2860 Woodland Drive, NW 20008 -- topping the list at a sales price of $7,400,000, this home in Massachusetts Avenue Heights is on almost an acre with 6 bedrooms, 5 and 2 half baths and a pool. Yearly property taxes on this home are $82,055! 2. 2401 Kalorama Road, NW 20008 -- this interesting home was originally built in 1754 in Massachusetts and moved to D.C. in the 1930s and reconstructed on this lot in Kalorama. The updated kitchen includes a Vulcan stove and SubZero fridge and sold for $7,165,000 in February. 3. 3249 N Street, NW 20007 -- this 1820 home in the heart of Georgetown featured a garage, chef's kitchen, home theater, library, in-law suite, and private master suite balcony. Sold in March for $7,000,000. 4. 2013 H Street, NW 20006 -- this Foggy Bottom home featured 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with a separate carriage house and 4 car garage. Sold in January for $4,900,000. 5. 3020 Chain Bridge Road, NW 20016 -- this home in Kent sold for $3,800,000 in April 2007 and featured 10 foot ceiling on the first 2 floors, 5 bedrooms, 4 and 3 half baths and over 5,600 square feet of living space. 6. 2308 Wyoming Avenue, NW 20008 -- this Kalorama home with 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths featured a walled garden and lap pool as well as a paneled library and sold for $3,550,000 this past March. 7. 5019 Sedgwick Street, NW 20016 -- selling for $3,495,000, this Spring Valley home features a beautiful garden and pool and was recently renovated in 2000. On a 1/3 acre, this home has 6 bedrooms and 5 and 2 half baths. 8. 2128 Bancroft Place, NW 20008 -- this Kalorama townhouse was built in 1907 and was completely updated. Featuring 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, it sold for $3,350,000 in April. 9. 34 Kalorama Circle, NW 20008 -- this white stucco home on Kalorama Circle was sold as part of an estate sale. With 8 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, it fetched more than the asking price in April at a sales price of $3,350,000. 10. 3033 Ellicott Street, NW 20008 -- selling for $3,300,000 and built in 1999, this red brick colonial in Forest Hills featured a music conservatory, master bedroom solarium, media room, exercise room, 6 bedrooms and 5 full and 3 half baths. 11. 1111 23rd Street #PH3F, NW 20037 -- this penthouse in the West End was the only condo to make the list selling in April for $3,145,000! The penthouse is over 4000 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 6.5 baths, a gourmet kitchen, and on two levels with private balconies. 12. 1620 29th Street, NW 20007 -- this Georgetown home rounds out the dozen with a final sales price of $3,100,000 and featured 6 bedrooms and 3 full and 2 half baths on 4 levels, and a two car garage. |
